Vandoren’s B40 Eb Clarinet mouthpiece is a popular free blowing Eb clarinet mouthpiece. With the same technical specification as the B44 Eb mouthpiece, although with a wider tip rail (the flat section at the end of the mouthpiece, which is level with the tip of the reed). The wider tip rail offers a centered focused tone.

With a medium tip opening and medium length facing. This mouthpiece is another long standing model in the Vandoren range and would be a great choice if you are looking for a responsive mouthpiece which doesn’t require too much effort to play and will help in getting a focused tone across the range.
