Deep tone. Bold design. The world’s lowest tuned diatonic harmonica.

The Seydel 1847 Low Tone Harmonica redefines what a diatonic harmonica can do, offering incredibly deep, rich tones in super-low tunings that extend into the bass range. Built on the legendary 1847 platform, this model features stainless steel reeds, a 20% thicker sealed walnut comb, and raised coverplates for expanded resonance and bold projection.

Available in keys down to Double Low E (LLE)—making it the lowest tuned diatonic harmonica in the world—the 1847 Low Tone offers a sound reminiscent of tenor sax, trombone, or even tuba when played amplified. These harps are perfect for bass lines, rhythmic chording, and expressive soloing in blues, jazz, and ambient genres.

The enhanced design includes a larger internal resonance chamber, optimized through the thicker comb and specially shaped coverplates, yielding greater tonal depth, volume, and response. Even at extreme low frequencies, special valves ensure excellent airtightness and playability without reed rattle—offering smooth, sonorous performance.
