Selmer Muse Bb Clarinet

$5,386

With more and more Clarinettists switching to Selmer Paris Instruments, it became clear that a new model and evolution of their range was needed to cater to the modern player. The result of years of testing, with many of the worlds top musicians, the Echo clarinet moves Selmer into the forefront of the market with their most responsive and reliable instrument yet. Introducing Selmers new Evolution* system, this clarinet employs a Grenadilla body infused with Resin to help with the longevity of the wood without compromising on resonance and tone production. With a new Conical Bore style, this produces Selmer's most responsive and sweet-sounding Clarinet whilst also introducing new correction keys for the Low E and F making it the most accurate.

This Clarinet will truly appeal to those who are eager to try Selmer clarinets but less interested in a more traditional clarinet design and want an instrument that will truly sing.

About Selmer Paris

Founded in Paris in 1885, Henri Selmer began producing professional grade clarinets in 1898 amongst other wind and brass instruments. During this time, his brother Alexandre Selmer was progressing up through the ranks of the top American Orchestras playing on Selmer Paris clarinets, eventually becoming Principal clarinet of the New York Philharmonic in 1909. He subsequently set up a shop in New York selling Selmer Paris clarinets and later returned to France, entrusting the running of the shop to a fellow colleague. On Alexandre’s return to France, the workshops of Selmer began to expand due to the continuing popularity of the brand. Selmer have continued to add to their extensive range of instruments over the years and continue to be a respected brand name worldwide.
