The Chedeville Elite is the first mouthpiece produced under the ownership of Jody Espina of Jody Jazz fame. The goal in creating this mouthpiece was to bring back the glory days of this famous American mouthpiece maker with a vintage styled classical mouthpiece that meets the expectations of the modern musician. Using their new 'Chedeville Rubber' and 3D scans of many legendary vintage mouthpieces, Chedeville claim this is the closest thing to those coveted Pre-War mouthpieces of the 20s and 30s. The 'pure' rod rubber is formed into a mouthpiece at the Jody Jazz factory using state of the art CNC machines and expert mouthpiece artisans for the indispensable hand work. This combination allows Chedeville to produce incredibly consistent mouthpieces that play properly but also speak to the musician. With a Medium-Long facing curve, this mouthpiece produces a full bodied and warm sound with an easy playability.
