The Vandoren B40 profile 88 mouthpiece is a great variation on the standard B40 mouthpiece. With the profile 88 beak, it allows a more comfortable playing position. With a medium long and an intermediate tip opening, this mouthpiece has been designed for use with softer reeds so is great if this is your first upgrade.
This shares the same tip opening and facing of the B45, one of the most long standing and popular mouthpieces in the Vandoren range. Designed in collaboration with Jean-Paul Gauvin (Vandoren’s main mouthpiece designer) the B40 Profile 88 allows for an excellent dynamic range with a focused tonal centre. It has a strong robust feel and is suitable for any clarinettist from beginner to professional playing many different genres of music.

2. Once sold, every Clarinet & Flute is checked & regulated for a second time as the set-up can be affected by the new materials expanding & contracting according to environmental conditions.
3. New instruments purchased from us can be returned within a year for a FREE check over and adjustment.
