Yamaha YCL 450S Bb Clarinet
The Yamaha YCL 450S Bb Clarinet is an intermediate model perfect for the intermediate clarinetist looking for an upgrade. This clarinet, the first wooden option in the Yamaha range. It has a grenadilla wood body the same material their professional clarinets are made from, this in combination with a slightly more open bore design from the YCL 255S allows a warmer more powerful sound. This free blowing clarinet has silver plated key work and incorporates a similar bell and barrel design from the professional custom range, straight tone hole design with a tapered undercut for comfortable and responsive playing. A new resonance chamber in the bell aides projection and improves intonation in the lower register.
Supplied with a CL4C mouthpiece, silver plated ligature and mouthpiece cap, all within a lightweight gig bag style case to keep the instrument protected and allow storage for all your accessories; the clarinet includes all you need to get started.
The Yamaha YCL 450S Bb Clarinet is part of the ‘Intermediate Series’ and comes with a newly improved barrel and bell design similar to that of the V Series. The new bell design enables the player to produce sounds with greater projection and more even intonation control in combination with the enhanced barrel design, allowing for more flexibility and tonal focus, especially in the lower register.
