Vandoren B44 Alto Clarinet Mouthpiece

Vandoren’s B44 Alto Clarinet mouthpiece is an easy blowing mouthpiece. Very similar to the B40 Alto Clarinet mouthpiece, although this model features a thinner tip rail (the flat section at the end of the mouthpiece, which is level with the tip of the reed). This thinner tip rail allows for air to travel even more freely as the air travels through this section swifter.

Made from ebonite, the B44 Alto mouthpiece produces a compact centered sound. It features a medium tip opening and a medium-long facing length. This would be a great choice if you don’t play alto clarinet too often and are looking for a mouthpiece that you are able to attach and play with ease. Also, if you are looking for a mouthpiece that doesn’t require a lot of effort to achieve an even tone.
